Day 11: Your Favorite Dialogue
Today, there is only one dialogue I can pick. It’s my favorite one and I’ve watched this scene over and over. I think the writers made every word and every syllable perfect. This dialogue makes me want to cry every time. It’s from the drama My Girlfriend is a Gumiho when Mi-ho is about to disappear. They are both broken up about it and they sit in the gym where they first experienced the power of her bead the first time together. This is the dialogue:
Mi-ho: At first, was I really that scary?
Dae-woong: Yes. But as scared as I was then, I’m a hundred times more…right now.
(Mi-ho cover’s his eyes)
Mi-ho: Let’s stay like this. Woong? Think of it as a dream. From the moment I first appeared in front of you, until this moment, when I disappear. Think of it all as a dream. If you think of it as a dream, when you open your eyes, it won’t hurt at all.
Dae-woong: Mi-ho? Don’t go.
Mi-ho: Forget all the scary parts and remember me as a really, really, really, really, really good dream.
(Mi-ho kisses him and disappears.)
Dae-woong: A dream? When I open my eyes, it won’t hurt? It hurts so much! How can you be a dream?
(Next morning)
Dae-woong: Mi-ho? Mi-ho. Are you gone? You just left me behind like this, and disappeared? No. It can’t be.
Dae-woong: Mi-ho, you must be crying, but it doesn’t rain anymore when you cry. No matter how sad you are, I have no way of knowing…because you’re not here anymore. Mi-ho is gone. Mi-ho is gone. Mi-ho…is gone.
